Mr. Lavery received his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2000, after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History from Rutgers University in 1997.

From 2000-2001, he served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Arthur N. D'Italia, Assignment Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Hudson County. Mr. Lavery was then associated with a regional defense firm in New Jersey, where he practiced employment law and civil defense litigation in state and federal court. Since joining the firm, Mr. Lavery has engaged in all aspects of civil litigation defense, including professional negligence, construction and labor law, premises liability, medical malpractice, employment law and general insurance defense.

He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey, the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
