Stephen Barrett graduated from Brandeis University in 2004 with degrees in English & American Literature and Philosophy. He received his Juris Doctor in 2008 from Brooklyn Law School, graduating cum laude.
While in law school, Mr. Barrett published legal scholarship related to novel equal protection issues arising under the New York State Constitution, and served as Executive Articles & Research Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review. Mr. Barrett was also selected onto Brooklyn Law School's National Moot Court team, and competed in various Moot Court competitions across the country, winning numerous awards including being named Second Best Advocate in the country by the American Bar Association at their 2008 National Moot Court competition.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Barrett has concentrated his practice in general civil litigation, insurance defense, and appellate practice. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York, and is a member of the American Bar Association.
